I first became a Red Cross Volunteer in 2009 while living in Mexico. I was part of the Cruz Roja Mexicana Medical Team for 3 years while completing my education.

In 2016, I moved to the United States. In 2018, when I moved to Washington State, I looked into joining the organization again.

Today I am part of the Public Affairs team, serving as a Public Information Officer and Spanish language spokesperson located in the Tri-Cities area.

I grew up with a family where they taught me that we are all going to need help from someone at some point. We are individuals that live in communities. It means that we all have characteristics that bring us together. I truly believe that you can impact someone’s life every day and there is no better way to do that than by serving our community.

Volunteering with the Red Cross is incredibly rewarding. I know it’s helped me become a better human being.

The Red Cross is looking for volunteers like you! Join us and start your Red Cross journey today. redcross.org/volunteertoday
