Fatima.1

I am Wendlamita Fatim Ouedraogo.  I am from Burkina Faso, a West African Country.

I enjoy travelling the world to discover new cultures. That is the reason why, after living several years in Europe, I decided to move to the US and have been living here for 2 years now.

I am currently working in a boarding home while being a full time graduate student at Gonzaga University. I am studying Organizational Leadership and proud to say that I am almost done with the program — only 1 month to go!

I started volunteering at the Red Cross in January 2016, with the volunteer services team. I provide administrative support such us helping in the organization of events and contributing in the creation of the fiscal year recruitment plan. I have also started to develop an interest in the Service to Armed Forces program. With that team I help work on the budget, the organization chart and many different activities.

I am happy and grateful to be part of both wonderful teams. I am learning so much and evolving among incredible people. My objective in joining the Red Cross was to build my network and be assured that my work there will benefit the community.  Today I can say that I have achieved my goals!

How can the Red Cross help you achieve your goals?
