Why I Volunteer: Ken Hooper

Ken HooperWhat drew me to Red Cross most was the mission and the work this organization does with disasters and communities.

After starting with the American Red Cross I got a chance to deploy and see how much we offer and support the community’s in the time of need.

I work a full time job, but I spend about 70% of my time off working the Disaster Action Team and Mass Care team as a team lead.

It makes me feel a sense of accomplishment knowing someday, someone will be there for me in my time of need as well.

I get a lot of experience with the Red Cross and great background work to show what I know and what I learn as a volunteer.
